Little Girl Blue

A poem

Little girl blue what is there to do but sit around and wait for them to love you

but that's not how it goes in fact from your head to your toes

is nothing but inherent loveliness, I couldn't be lying to you less

it's Madness at times this world of ours, nothing makes sense, everything jars

the existential angst can crash like a wave from a tsunami made giant from years of “behave”

little brains don't know that it's never their fault, saving every transgression like a jewel in a vault growing into brains that get very cloudy the voices in their heads staying very rowdy

everything becomes blame for them to take making it easier and easier and easier to fake

the performance of a lifetime these little ones do, tricking themselves into thinking they've been intimate with you

when really all they've done was care so seamlessly that you may have forgotten they were ever there

and so there they go to the empty well, praying, hoping, that the water will swell

so profusely over the top that the endless approval will never stop

but the well is dried up not even a drop, wish they will take personally a habit they can't stop

not without a courageous heart to go back to the beginning back to the start

and see it never was their fault to begin with taking it personally was only a myth

in every moment life comes fast the multitudes of inner experiences are vast

people's availability has to do with what's happening for them their chaos has nothing to do with your zen

sure when you're little that isn't so clear but now that you're older let me tell you my dear

there is no reason for you to be ashamed of your thirst from an empty well you'll never be first

Come to the source the great Cosmic mother I will embrace you in ways like no other

I will enfold you, show you how lovable you are after all you were made from the stuff of the  stars

made from the wishes wished every night at your very own first twinkle of light

I will foundate you in the truth of your soul turn it all over to me I'm in control

all you have to do is to breathe in and breathe out and discover the absolute beauty life is about

the beauty that exists in the depths of your eyes the beauty that exists in everyone's lives

there may not be an obvious reason but I promise, the tapestry grows every season

a wonderful tapestry of a life well lived, a life that is filled with plenty of take and plenty of give

an awe-some life of collective growth a lovely little life of which you made the most

allow us to hold you and fill up your cup with the truth of who you are as always enough

from there no well will ever be empty and you won't have to wait from there there's nothing left to do but celebrate
